after a long time!

It's been a long time. My last visit was early in 2013 when I was trying to improve.
I am clearly not a natural blogger but I do intend to try
personal and University life has got in the way for a while.
In the summer of 2014 I had the privilege of being invited to New Zealand by the New Zealand Embroiderers' Guild to teach workshops during and after their conference. I was there for 5 weeks and traveled teaching in both the North and the South island. More of this later.

My latest stitching news is that I have just returned from Melton Mowbray where I have been working with a wonderful group of women who have been darning away for the week end.The East Midlands Region of the Embroiderers' Guild Summer School was a very enjoyable event. I was one of three tutors each teaching a different course. Mine as you might expect was 'Darn it'.
I was even able to buy some things to work on for christmas presents! I can't say more incase the family see this.

Peacock
this piece uses silk threads and needle weaving techniques in a colourful way.Unfortunately, I have to do some urgent University admin. now though I will attempt  to get back to this blog soon.

A mother shopping with her young son in Target was caught off guard when an elderly man gave the toddler a $20 bill replica Watch -- but when he explained himself, she was reduced to tears.

Hacker says she "cried in the middle of Target" over the brief interaction -- and apparently, she wasn't the only one replica Watch who was moved by the man's actions. At the time of writing, Hacker's story has received nearly 330,000 reactions and almost 125,000 shares.
